alot of rust had been covered by a body shop
fixing all rust properly
inside trunk lid had been painted gloss black, paint was bubbling from the rust underneath
sandblasted edges to expose rust that had been covered
found more rust under previous shop's work
removed extra filler from previous repair
proper block sanding shows high and low areas
more rust found in door jamb
new metal welded in door jamb
a little filler
primed
removed 1/2 inch of bondo, stud welder will not pull dent, metal too thin
filler too thick, removal begins
no need for this much bondo when the metal can be hammered out
removing rusty fender edge
removed alot of filler that was hiding body line
fabricating new patch
clamped in place ready to weld
welding started
sealed both sides of weld
Primed, ready for blocksanding
ready to blocksand
2 coats of base color on small parts
hood, doors, & trunk painted ready for assembly and final coating of paint
2 coats of base color
re-assemble for final base coat, then clear
clear coat sprayed
Ready for colorsanding and buff
All buffed out, owner started to assemble
